Jacky Ickx, Ari Vatanen e Jutta Kleinschimdt i primi, grandi ospiti di Legendakar. Stig Blomqvist sarà al volante di una Audi Quattro nel 40° Tribute 1984 Rally Championship – Audi Quattro Trilogy”. Un nutrito gruppo di Lancia Stratos originali ed inedite protagoniste, statiche e dinamiche, nella celebrazione del 50° anniversario del primo titolo WRC della iconica vettura da rally.
Repubblica di San Marino. Prosegue senza soste l”assemblaggio” di Rallylegend 2024. Mentre si arricchiscono di contenuti i due eventi già annunciati “40° Stig Blomqvist Tribute 1984 Rally Championship – Audi Quattro Trilogy”, con la presenza del grande campione svedese a San Marino e “LegenDakar”, un tributo alla gara-mito “Dakar”, con i primi, clamorosi “nomi” che presenzieranno alla celebrazione, si aggiunge un altro importante festeggiamento, rigorosamente in “stile Rallylegend”: è quello riservato al 50° anniversario del primo titolo mondiale WRC della iconica Lancia Stratos.
JACKY ICKX, ARI VATANEN E JUTTA KLEINSCHIMDT A LEGENDAKAR
Tre campioni, tre grandi personaggi del motorsport che hanno lasciato segni indelebili nella storia della mitica “Dakar”, la gara simbolo dei rally raid.
Jacky Ickx, campione a 360 gradi, dalla Formula 1, con otto centri e venticinque podi, alle tante vittorie nell’Endurance, tra cui sei affermazioni alla 24 Ore di Le Mans tra il 1969 e il 1982, ha un posto di grande rilievo anche nella “Dakar”, vinta nel 1983 con la Mercedes 280 GE e con due secondi posti nel 1986, al volante della Porsche 959 e nel 1989, con la Peugeot 405 T16. Jacky Ickx sarà a Rallylegend, nelle giornate di venerdì e sabato, con la splendida Porsche 953 protagonista “d’annata” delle gare africane.
Ari Vatanen, campione del mondo rally 1981, ha nel suo palmares ben quattro vittorie alle “Dakar” (1987 e la tripletta dal 1989 al 1991) e un titolo nella Coppa del Mondo Rally Raid nel 1997. Proprio nella edizione del 1989 ci fu il grande duello, con relativi colpi di scena, con il compagno di squadra Ickx, che sarà bello sentir raccontare dal vivo a Rallylegend.
Risale al più recente 2001 la vittoria nella durissima “Dakar” della veloce tedesca Jutta Kleinschmidt, con la Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution e anche da lei sarà avvincente sentire, nel talk show dedicato a Rallylegend, come ha fatto a portare a casa l’unica vittoria di una donna nella maratona africana.
Anche Vatanen e Kleinshmidt avranno a disposizione e piloteranno, in vari momenti di Rallylegend, due vetture iconiche della storia della “Dakar”, che saranno poi in esposizione nel Rally Village, insieme ad un bel gruppo di altre protagoniste di una storia affascinante.
50° ANNIVERSARIO DEL PRIMO TITOLO WRC DELLA ICONICA LANCIA STRATOS A RALLYLEGEND
Cinquanta anni fa esatti, nel 1974, la Lancia Stratos portò alla Casa di Chivasso il primo di tre titoli Mondiali Rally Costruttori consecutivi, dando inizio alla leggenda di una vettura che, ancora oggi, è considerata una icona irraggiungibile per fascino e tecnica. Omologata in Gruppo 4 ad ottobre del 1974, in soli tre mesi, con vittorie a raffica, si aggiudicò clamorosamente il primo titolo iridato.
Una ricorrenza che Rallylegend non poteva ignorare e che verrà adeguatamente festeggiata, con un nutrito lotto di Stratos originali ed inedite, protagoniste statiche e dinamiche nei quattro giorni dell’evento, ovviamente insieme a piloti e personaggi di spicco che ne hanno scritto la storia.
Intenso il programma che vedrà al centro la Stratos.
Già giovedì 10 ottobre, in esposizione a Rally Village dal primo pomeriggio, sfileranno alle ore 20.00 nella Sprint Legend Race
Venerdì 11 rivedremo la “bete a gagner” sulla PS3 San Marino, con successiva esposizione “di gruppo” nel Centro Storico di San Marino, durante la “Cena dei Piloti”.
Sabato 12 e domenica 13 dopo l’esposizione al pubblico a partire dalle ore 9.00, le Lancia Stratos faranno sentire il loro inconfondibile rombo sulla PS The Legend, rispettivamente alle ore 12.00 e alle ore 10.00.

Republic of San Marino. Preparations for the 22nd edition of Rallylegend continue to gather pace. In addition to the already announced “40° Stig Blomqvist Tribute 1984 Rally Championship – Audi Quattro Trilogy”, to be attended by the great Swedish champion himself, and “LegenDakar”, a tribute to the legendary Dakar rally raid that will see the involvement of many big names, another key event will mark the 2024 Rallylegend edition: the 50th anniversary of the first WRC title for the iconic Lancia Stratos.

Three champions, all big names in motorsport, who have left an indelible mark in the history books of the legendary Dakar rally raid.
Jacky Ickx is the all-round champion, from Formula 1 where he amassed eight race wins and twenty-five podiums, to his Endurance achievements, including six Le Mans 24 Hours victories between 1969 and 1982. Not to mention the Dakar, in which he triumphed in 1983 with the Mercedes 280 GE and placed second both in 1986, at the wheel of the Porsche 959, and in 1989, with the Peugeot 405 T16. Jacky Ickx will be at Rallylegend on Friday and Saturday, aboard the stunning Porsche 953, a vintage star of the African rally raid.
Ari Vatanen was the 1981 WRC champion and amassed four wins in the Dakar (in 1987 and from 1989 to 1991) as well as a Rally Raid World Cup title in 1997. The 1989 edition brought a thrilling duel between Vatanen and team-mate Ickx, a story that we will hear from the drivers themselves during Rallylegend.
German driver Jutta Kleinschmidt won the Dakar in 2001, with the Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution, and she too will appear during the dedicated Rallylegend talk show, explaining how she became the first and only woman to triumph in the African ‘marathon’.
Vatanen and Kleinschmidt will also drive two iconic Dakar vehicles during Rallylegend, cars that will then be exhibited in Rally Village along with other stars of this fascinating tale.
50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE FIRST WRC TITLE FOR THE ICONIC LANCIA STRATOS AT RALLYLEGEND
Exactly fifty years ago, in 1974, the Lancia Stratos brought the Italian manufacturer its first of three consecutive World Rally Constructors’ titles thus beginning the legend of a car still seen as a unique technical and style icon today. It was homologated in Group4 in October 1974 and became a world title winner in just three months following a string of wins.
An achievement that Rallylegend could not overlook and that will be celebrated accordingly, with a significant number of original and new Stratos cars, the static and dynamic stars of the event, together with drivers and big names who have made its history.
The Stratos will feature in a series of initiatives over the four days.
On Thursday 10 October, the cars will be on display in Rally Village from the early afternoon before taking to the track at 8pm for the Sprint Legend Race
On Friday 11 ‘the beast to beat’ will take to the PS3 San Marino. The cars will later be on display in the historic centre of San Marino during the “Drivers’ Dinner”.
On Saturday 12 and Sunday 13, the cars will be on display from 9am. Then, at 12pm and 10am respectively, the Lancia Stratos cars will unleash their unmistakable roar around The Legend stage.
